Welcome to RIBI2019
RIBI2019 is an exciting and edifying opportunity for believers in Latvia and other countries to join intensive discipleship training and mission ventures in Riga, the beautiful capital of Latvia, and other locations in Latvia. During these 9 days we are planning to evangelize, make friends, and study Bible and relevant themes with experienced pastors, Matti Sirviö from Muscat, Oman and Mikael Toll from Stockholm, Sweden. We are expecting students to join from Latvia, Finland, Russia, Lithuania, and from other countries.
RIBI2019 – Study
During the mornings and early afternoons are offered two interesting intensified discipleship training courses.
Pt. Matti Sirviö, an experienced church planting pastor and missions pioneer from Finland (Hungary, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Oman), teaches a class called ”Thinking with the Bible in Today’s World”, that provides Biblical clarity to ethical, apologetical, and philosophical issues believers meet in today’s world.
Dr. Mikael Toll (M.A. in Ministry, M.A. in Counseling, M.Div, D.Min, Luther Rice Seminary) from Stockholm, Sweden teaches a class called ”Soteriology: A Biblical and Historical Journey through the Doctrine of Salvation by Grace through Faith”. In this class Dr. Toll will examine the Biblical roots of this crucial Reformation doctrine and clarify the various, often opposing historical developments and trends that confuse the original teaching.
RIBI2019 – Locations
Mission Riga headquarters will be at the premises of Latvian Bible Center. Latvian Biblical Center is located at: Lacplesa Str. 117 (car entrance via Kraslavas Str.); Riga, LV-1003, Latvija. https://goo.gl/maps/pTZKr2RDgMQ2
At the same location there are a limited number of 2-person dormrooms available for rental for 15 € / room / night. These rooms are reserved mainly for the RIBI students and the staff, but may be available also for others joining RIBI2019. Sign-up for the rooms opens up in March.
In the area there are also several affordable hotels, like Hotel Liberty, and airbnb apartments. We recommend choosing the accommodations in the vicinity of the area between the Latvian Biblical Center and the Riga Old City as many of the outdoor activities are going to take place in that area.
